Our Favourite Foods From Disneyland Resort

One of my favourite reasons for enjoying Disneyland as much as we did is because of the endless food options. If the’s perfect playground for foodies, lots of restaurants to choose from as well as snack carts and quick-serve counters. Disney is famous for creating food unique to its parks, and I thought I would share some of our favourite foods from our trip to the Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland Park

The Galactic Grill was a must visit for this family of Star Wars fans, it was probably the only restaurant we took the time to visit. Now we had already had lunch and had dinner plans that day, but we just had to experience something from these menus. I ordered a couple of the BB8 rice treats for the younger two and got Oli ‘The Light Side’ as it came with a light up millennium falcon which is still a treasured souvenir to this day along with the Chewbacca stein that the man had his drink in.

Disney California Adventure

Our favourite Disney snack came from the Cozy Cone Motel, a creamy Mac ‘n’ Cheese mixed with Roasted Bacon served in a Bread Cone and what a thing of beauty it was! We loved it so much that we went back again the next day and had another one! I know I know, we should have tried new things, but if you were to try one of these, you would understand why we had to try it again.

There’s an unwritten law that when you’re on a pier that you have to consume cotton candy the size of your head as well as ice creams. We found these beauties over on Pixar Pier, and I can confirm that the Coca Cola floats are the perfect treat to cool down with.

The Churros Carts are all over the parks, and this is what my eldest lived off during our Disney days. He was obsessed with them and still talks about them fondly two years later! It’s one of the reasons he cannot wait to go back to Disney. They’re a decent enough size for them to be shared as a snack as you wait for lunch/dinner time.

Downtown Disney

Our first experience of food at Disney was a few days into our California vacation when we popped along to Downtown Disney to explore as well as hit up the LEGO shop. Sitting outside in the Uva bar for lunch was the best way to end our morning of shopping. We enjoyed the food there so much that we left the Disney Park one day to have lunch here again. Those Sea Salt Garlic Fries are a must try!

Walking around the bakery not only is your nose rewarded by heavenly smells but your eyes get to see all these fantastic Disney creations. How adorable are these Olaf cake pops? So if you have time during your vacation to visit Downtown Disney, I would highly recommend giving it a visit, plus it’s free to enter, so you don’t even need to have tickets for Disneyland to visit.
