You know what can make a pram company stand out from the others? It’s one who listens to customer’s feedback and acts upon it. That makes me smile when it comes to prams and hearing that they’ve taken the original model and made improvements to benefit us as pram users.
Silver Cross are introducing the new and update Silver Cross Surf to the pram market this March. They’ve taken everything that was loved about the original design, comfort, style and manoeuvrability and have made it even better. Though from my homework and research into the original Surf, it sounds like it was already a much-loved pram by many.
They’ve added features such as an adjustable handlebar, a bigger basket and some rather beautiful leather style and chrome detailing. And to say us, even more, pennies as customers, they are including the carrycot (which is suitable from birth) as part of the Surf 2 package.
To turn the Surf 2 into a travel system, the Silver Cross Simplicity Car Seat will do the job just perfectly. Want to make it the ultimate pushchair for whatever adventure might come its way? Then you have the nifty option of buying the jogger wheel, so you really can have the option of owning both a 4 & 3 wheeler pram without having to buy a complete new pram. Expecting another little one? You can attach the Surf board which will give that siblings tired little feeties, the rest they deserve. Though this also means you’re not travelling home at a snails pace, that very option gets huge thumbs up from me.
Like any pram you’re looking at which you want to last you from those newborn days to the toddler stage, the Surf 2 ticks all the boxes in getting that exact part right. That added newborn carrycot provides a safe, cosy, lie – flat environment which is suitable for overnight sleeping. As baby gets bigger, you can switch to the seat and then you can have the option of having your child either forward or rearward facing. For me and that first year, I do like having my little ones facing me so that we can continue that important parent/child interaction as we go out and about.
As well as its huge range of accessories, it also comes in a wide variety of colours – Aubergine, Black, Sky Blue, Raspberry, Sand, Lime & Chilli. We’re totally spoilt for choice on that front; I just don’t know which one I would choose! What colour would take your fancy?
We’re hoping to get our hands on one as soon as it comes out and then we can give you our honest feedback on the new Surf 2, though from what we’ve found out so far we’re expecting it to fit in quite nicely into our pram life. So watch this space!
