It’s never too late to start a family tradition, is it? Good! Because this year we have decided to start going to an actual pumpkin farm instead of picking up a few pumpkins during our weekly food shop. Google gave us ‘Pumpkins R Us’ over in Barford near Warwick as one of closest pumpkin picking farms. The kids were so excited, and Charlotte had not stopped talking about ‘umpkins’ the whole of the car journey there. She was disappointed though that they were too heavy for her to lift but she was ecstatic to find some mini ones which she could carry. Dylan stayed in his pram for the experience, but we found some odd shaped pumpkins which became a sensory object due to its spiky exterior. Oli was pleased to of picked out our winning family pumpkin to carve, and we picked out a few small ones for displays within the house. The grand total for our big pumpkin and six small ones was £7.50 which I thought was a decent price for our haul. Here is some Instagram worthy photos of our trip to Pumpkins R Us..
