Grobag

We have used Grobag ever since the birth of our second son Dylan back in 2012. I have never been comfortable with the idea of babies sleeping under blankets at night or even during nap times so owning a grobag was the perfect solution. We found them even more of an essential for us because we ended up co-sleeping where Dylan would most often end up sleeping in our bed.

The same has happened with his sister, and she has pretty much spent most of her first year in our bed and of course wearing a grobag. For the last few months she has been using her brother’s old Grobag but now has a new one thanks to Grobag sending her the Candy Cloud Grobag to review.

I am glad we were sent one at random because I remember how long it took me to choose one for Dylan. They have plenty of styles to choose from, and they come in many different sizes and togs to suit your child and the temperature. The Candy Cloud we have comes in 2.5 tog 1.0 tog and is available in size 0-6 months, 6-18 months and 18-36 months.

You will find a zip to the side of the bag which is handy if you need to change baby in the night or even just to take it off without disturbing baby. You could even lay it down and put a sleeping baby into it, but that requires a sleeping baby, I have heard they can be rare in the first few months.

Charlotte is so content in wearing it, and I see putting her into it as part of our night routine, she knows that when she gets zipped into her grobag that it is bedtime. I am also content in her wearing it as I know I do not need to worry about her slipping under blankets or getting tangled in them. If asked for my top baby safety products owning a grobag would be straight at the top of it, I know my child is safe, and I can get a peaceful nights sleep knowing this. You can find out all you need to know about them in this Grobag Guide.
