Do you want to know what one of my biggest regrets was when I was told I was going to be having my baby the next day? It was not having my hospital bag ready. I spent the whole of my second trimester planning my hospital bag in my head and looking forward to getting it packed. The third trimester came along, and it seemed that I always found something other than packing my hospital bag to do. Which wasn’t very helpful when it came to needing to take it to the hospital with me, yeah even after two children, I still wasn’t prepared for the third. I ended up trying to put my bag together in one tired, emotional state and ending up forgetting half of what I was planning on taking. I wouldn’t have ended up with anything if I spontaneously went into labour. Now if only I had heard of Devon Road Babies back in my second trimester and knew about the concept of pre-packed hospital bags.
Devon Road Babies is a family run business that is based in East London. They stock beautiful and practical that you are likely to want to pack in your hospital bag for you, baby and your birthing partner. Everything is either organic, ethical, sustainable or British and marked as such so you can decide for yourself what is important to you.
They’ve kindly given us one of their Devon Road Overnight For Mum bags to giveaway. This bag has all you need for an overnight stay including everything from the Devon Road Labour Essentials bag. As I read through the content list of the mum’s overnight bag, I can’t help too but scream yes at every item. They’ve included every little thing you could think of needing for your trip to the hospital, or even for that homebirth. I’ve had a home birth and wanted most of these items, plus I was transferred to the hospital afterwards so needed to an overnight bag with me.
All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning the Devon Road Overnight For Mum bag is to answer the following question and leave your answer in the comments…
What’s the first item you would add to your hospital bag?
Competition ends midnight 7th May 2014. T&Cs can be found on the rafflecopter box below.
