It can often be tricky finding enough things to do with the children and the grandkids during the summer holidays and half terms. Theme parks, visits to historical sites and even days out shopping are all great things to do, but sometimes a different type of day out is called for. That’s where the USK show comes in. But what is it and what makes it fun for all the family?
Inexpensive day out
At the end of the summer holiday, money is always tight. Any extra money saved has either gone on a vacation or keeping the children entertained. If you go to the USK show, however, you can enjoy a day out that does not cost the earth. It’s cheaper, too, if you book in advance, with a family of four able to get in using just one note. Summer days out are usually costly, but a trip to the USK show is affordable and offers a unique experience for the family.
Great items at better prices
At the USK show, there are more than 200 trade stands outdoors and a further 100 stalls under the marquee. The vast range of businesses and charities who rent the stalls ensures that there is something for everyone. There are clothes, jewellery and flowers available to buy as well as food. Whatever it is you are after, you can more than likely find it at the USK show.
Wide range of attractions
Of course, no summer event would be complete without fun and activities for all ages. The exact attractions available vary from year to year, but included within the ticket price is a workshop from Circus Whiz. If you have always wanted to be in the circus, or just fancy your chances at some of the skills, then this is perfect. There will be farming and falconry demonstrations along with rabbit breeders and music at the bandstand – which ensures that there is something for the grandparents too.
If you are disabled or cannot easily move around your home, for example you require the use of bath lifts, you need not worry. The USK show has excellent access for disabled visitors, including parking spaces and disabled toilets. On the day, Event Mobility will provide both electric scooters and wheelchairs, which should help with your peace of mind. You can book online, over the phone or at the booth on the day. What’s more, if you have a carer or are one yourself, then a free ticket is available at the time of purchasing a standard ticket.
