So I’ve been rather quiet on the blog lately because we’ve been rather busy preparing for a four-year-old’s Birthday party. Now if you would have asked me a few years if I would have spent time doing this, I would have laughed in your face. Like seriously, they are turning four why throw a party? Surely a few jam sandwiches and party rings at home does the job just fine. Ha, that was before I had a child who was coming up 4 and has spent the last year attending various birthday parties with the kids at pre-school. But it’s not just the fact that it’s because he’s been attending other parties, it’s because I WANT to throw him a party and throw him one which he’ll love. Even if he may not remember it when he hits my age, it’s what he would very much enjoy right now.
I’ve been finding, booking and paying my way through birthday party preparations. We have a hall booked; we have the bouncy castle, soft play and ball pit all sorted. The toddler seems to of attended as many 1st Birthday parties this year as he has 4th Birthday parties, so I’m attempting to make his party both baby and four years old friendly. Yeah, I can hear you laughing. In trying to keep the costs down, I’m hand making the decorations and the invitations; the baker husband is even making a cake though icing isn’t his speciality, so we’re going to have some fun trying to crack that. Once we have his birthday party out the way, it’s then on to planning a 1st Birthday tea party for a couple of weeks later and then a Christening. All go go go in the Me, The Man & (The Toddler) The Baby household.
Can you guess what theme he’s picked for his Birthday party?
